GSMArena has done a battery life test for major Android devices apart from iPhone 5 and the results are quite evident that Android devices with a larger battery life beat iPhone 5 in battery life tests but it is not all too bad for iPhone 5 which performed almost as good as Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One in real time battery life tests. Apple iPhone 5 almost always sports a battery with around 1450 mAh capacity but still offers usage on par with Android devices with almost 60% to 70% higher capacity battery compared to iPhone. In the tests done by GSMArena the other flagships devices were HTC One with a2300 mAh battery and Samsung Galaxy S4 with a 2600 mAh battery apart from Apple iPhone 5 with a mere 1450 mAh battery.
The first of the three tests was to test the talk time of the devices, sadly the iPhone 5’s real world talk time statistics were not given in the test but Razr Maxx seems to have beaten all of the competition by a huge margin. Out of the three smartphones mentioned above Galaxy S4 won over HTC One by providing 15 minutes of more talk time with overall talk time of 13 hours and 53 minutes.
We have another disappointment with the browsing tests where the Galaxy S4 has been left out of the final results but nevertheless the HTC one showed a good 9 hours and 58 minutes of browsing time and Apple iPhone 5 only two minutes behind with 9 hours and 56 minutes. Still, impressive performance with iPhone 5.
The last and final test was with video playback which had results for all the three devices, as expected even here Motorola Razr Maxx beat all the other phones in the competition with a huge margin. Apple iPhone 5 came in between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One with iPhone 5 giving a play time of 10 hours and 12 minutes, Galaxy S4 with a play time of 10 hours and 16 minutes and HTC One with a play time of 10 hours and 2 minutes.
One of the major reason why iPhone 5 could give such good performance could be because of the screen size but still it is impressive.
